Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion is a vibrant RPG that plumbs the depths of the beloved Cartoon Network series, casting players as Finn the Human and Jake the Dog. The Land of Ooo has been submerged, and it's up to our heroes, sailing their trusty boat, to uncover the cause. Along the way, they team up with BMO and Marceline, facing pirates and unraveling a scheme by Princess Bubblegum’s mischievous relatives. The game blends exploration with accessible turn-based combat, punctuated by humorous "Interrogation Time" segments, all wrapped in the show's signature charm. Reaching the "Core" room in Chapter 22 is a crucial turning point. It begins in the Fire Kingdom throne room, where a weakened Flame Princess explains the kingdom’s core is dangerously cooling due to the omnipresent water. She tasks Finn and Jake with investigating. To gain access to the Core room, players must first navigate an antechamber puzzle. Several unlit braziers await, with only one initially lit. The challenge is to transfer this flame, eventually igniting all braziers. A special blue flame will then appear, which must be carried to a specific brazier near the sealed Core room door, unlocking the path forward. Inside, a cutscene reveals Finn's grass doppelgänger, Fern, who admits to sabotaging the Fire Kingdom's valves under the antagonist's orders as a diversion. He then bestows a "present"—a massive Fire Giant boss. This level 10, 16,000 HP behemoth is largely immune to direct attacks. The key to victory lies in inflicting the "boggle" status effect, primarily through Jake's "Twister" special. Once boggled, the Fire Giant becomes vulnerable to powerful attacks on its exposed weak spot. Attacking before boggling triggers a shield, making this strategy essential. After the Fire Giant's defeat, Flame Princess reveals the only way to restore the core's heat is to superheat it, a task requiring her exiled relative, Torcho, on Firebreak Island. Finn and Jake readily agree to seek his aid, continuing their quest to save Ooo.
