Slaughterstar 3000 - Round 1 | Borderlands 3 | As Moze, Walkthrough, No Commentary
Borderlands 3
Description
Borderlands 3 is a renowned first-person shooter that immerses players in a vibrant, cel-shaded universe filled with chaotic combat, irreverent humor, and an insatiable hunger for loot. Players step into the shoes of one of four unique Vault Hunters, each wielding distinct abilities and skill trees, as they traverse various planets to thwart the nefarious Calypso Twins. The game thrives on its procedurally generated weapon system, offering an almost infinite array of firearms, and features enhanced mobility with mechanics like sliding and mantling. Within this universe lies the Slaughterstar 3000, an optional but formidable arena challenge.
Accessible after reaching a certain point on the planet Nekrotafeyo, the Slaughterstar 3000 is initiated by picking up a side mission from a beacon. The premise is simple: survive five escalating rounds of combat against relentless waves of Maliwan soldiers. Failure in any round forces a restart of that specific round, and leaving the area altogether means starting the entire mission from the beginning.
Round 1 serves as the initial test, comprising three waves of Maliwan forces. Players must eliminate all enemies in each wave to progress. Adding a layer of strategic consideration, Round 1 includes an optional objective: achieve five ground slam kills. Successfully completing this secondary goal alongside surviving the three waves marks the successful conclusion of the first round.
The enemies encountered in Slaughterstar 3000 are predominantly Maliwan soldiers, known for their elemental weaponry and shielded defenses. A notable and recurring foe is the NOG, a small support unit with a protective helmet and a critical spot on its back. NOGs are particularly dangerous due to their ability to deploy drone swarms that can attack or shield allies. Effective strategy against NOGs often involves using Shock damage to break their shields quickly, followed by damage that matches their armored state. Prioritizing NOGs is key to disrupting the enemy's support capabilities. Specialized NOG variants, including the arena-exclusive NOGromancer, also appear, adding unique challenges. Beyond the standard troops, specific boss encounters, such as Red Rain, offer opportunities for legendary loot like the coveted Rowan's Call assault rifle. The initial three waves of Round 1 in the Slaughterstar 3000 set the stage for a demanding test of combat prowess against the relentless Maliwan onslaught.
