Once inside Heart's Desire, the player navigates eerie architecture, solving environmental puzzles like finding a missing antler and a hidden button in an office to proceed. They then face and defeat the mutated beasts, Tom and Xam, before tackling an Eridian rune puzzle to open the final gate to the heart chamber. The climactic battle pits the Vault Hunter against Eleanor Olmstead and The Heart, within which Vincent is trapped. Eleanor attacks with projectiles and energy beams, while the heart becomes vulnerable as the fight progresses, filling the arena with blood. The player must strategically target Eleanor and the heart's crystalline structures, managing attacks from both as they deplete their shared health bar. Upon their defeat, Vincent emerges from the heart, sharing a final moment with Eleanor before both die. With the curse broken, Wainwright is freed. The mission concludes with the surprising ceremony of the Vault Hunter officiating Wainwright and Hammerlock's wedding within the very chamber where Gythian's heart once pulsed.
