Rayman Origins, a vibrant and whimsical platformer, sees Rayman and his friends traversing various imaginative worlds. Among these is the Sea of Serendipity, an aquatic realm filled with both beauty and peril. This world introduces unique underwater gameplay, requiring players to swim and navigate treacherous currents. The Sea of Serendipity is comprised of several levels, each presenting different challenges. "Port 'O Panic" features pirate ships and underwater caverns, demanding precise movements to avoid enemies and traps, and even involves riding water geysers to reach hidden areas. "Swimming with Stars" is entirely underwater, navigating through luminous jellyfish and avoiding menacing Man o' Wars. "Freaking Flipper" combines currents, stonefish, and schools of dangerous red fish, testing reflexes and exploration skills. Each level in the Sea of Serendipity contains hidden cages housing Electoons, requiring players to solve puzzles or overcome environmental obstacles to free them. For example, one cage in "Port 'O Panic" is earned by defeating a Lividstone and launching bombs onto bomb platforms. Some cages are challenges to be solved, such as destroying all the Red Fish in "Swimming with Stars." Furthermore, a Pirate Treasure level exists, where the heroes have to run away from an airship maned by a treasure chest.
