The mission on Savali begins with Ratchet and Clank arriving to find the Archives already attacked by Nefarious's forces. The planet is also plagued by "Bone Goons," skeletal creatures unleashed from a nightmare dimension due to the Emperor's reckless Dimensionator use. Battling through these foes and Nefarious Troopers, Ratchet and Clank reach the Archives only to discover the map is gone. Rivet and Kit join the search, learning the Savali Monks had hidden the map in a dimensional anomaly within the planet's catacombs. To access this area, Ratchet must activate excavation towers while fending off waves of undead enemies. Inside the catacombs, Clank enters the anomaly, solving dimensional puzzles to understand the map's location. He retrieves it but is ambushed by both Dr. and Emperor Nefarious.
