Glory Barge is the eighth level in World of Goo 2's second chapter, "A Distant Signal." This chapter is set on a modified flying island and centers around restoring a lost Wi-Fi signal, eventually leading to an ambitious plan involving space advertising. Glory Barge is notable as one of the first levels where players encounter and utilize the "Thruster" Goo Launcher. Thrusters are exclusive to this chapter and are easily identified by their red color, green mohawk, and spiky choker. Their function is to provide propulsion, generating thrust when connected to Conduit Goo Balls that supply liquid fuel. This mechanic introduces a dynamic element to the structure building, requiring players to not only build stable structures but also to manage propulsion for movement. The concept for Thrusters is a callback to unused ideas from the original World of Goo. Like all levels in World of Goo 2, Glory Barge includes optional objectives, or OCDs. These challenge players to go beyond simply completing the level by setting additional criteria. For Glory Barge, the OCDs require collecting at least 26 Goo Balls, finishing in 16 moves or fewer, and completing the level within 2 minutes and 26 seconds.
