Chapter 16 - Return to Deathshead's Compound (Short 1), Wolfenstein: The New Order

Wolfenstein: The New Order is a first-person shooter set in an alternate 1960 where the Nazis won WWII. Players control B.J. Blazkowicz, fighting against the Nazi regime. Chapter 16, Return to Deathshead's Compound, is the dramatic finale. The chapter begins with the resistance’s daring plan: use a stolen U-boat to breach Deathshead's fortress and infiltrate it. B.J. breaches the wall and fights through heavily guarded areas, encountering various enemies including Supersoldaten and Guard Robots. A tense moment sees him ambushed by Bubi, but B.J. retaliates and escapes. Rejoining some resistance members, their elevator ride malfunctions, sending B.J. directly to Deathshead. The General unveils a grotesque surprise: a robot powered by the brain of B.J.'s sacrificed comrade. After a sorrowful battle, B.J. grants his friend peace by destroying the brain. The final boss fight pits B.J. against Deathshead in a massive mech. After a destructive battle, Deathshead attempts a final act of defiance with a grenade, severely injuring Blazkowicz. As B.J. sees the others escaping, he orders the compound's destruction via nuclear strike, ending the game.
