Voraxis - Boss Fight | Borderlands 4 | As Rafa, Walkthrough, Gameplay, No Commentary, 4K

Borderlands 4

Description

Borderlands 4, released in September 2025, continues the beloved looter-shooter tradition with a fresh adventure on the newly discovered planet of Kairos. Six years after the events of Borderlands 3, players are introduced to a new cast of Vault Hunters, including Rafa the Exo-Soldier, Harlowe the Gravitar, Amon the Forgeknight, and Vex the Siren, all vying for a legendary Vault and aiding the local resistance against the tyrannical Timekeeper. The game boasts a seamless open-world experience across Kairos's diverse regions, enhanced traversal mechanics like grappling hooks and gliding, and the series' signature weapon variety and character customization. Cooperative play for up to four players online, split-screen on consoles, and crossplay are all supported, promising an expanded and more immersive Borderlands experience. Among the many formidable foes players will face on Kairos, Voraxis, the Quake Thresher, stands out as a particularly challenging optional boss. Found in the Fadefields region within the Coastal Bonescape, this colossal Thresher is accessible after completing the main story mission "Shadow of the Mountain," which unlocks the Abandoned Auger Mines. Voraxis resides at the conclusion of Timid Kyle's Neglected Opening, an area that demands players remain vigilant and mobile. Its primary attacks involve powerful melee lunges and devastating jaw swipes, making maintaining distance crucial for survival. Voraxis can also burrow underground, launching surprise attacks from unexpected locations, offering a window of opportunity for players to target its exposed weak points, specifically its eyes, for critical damage. Adding to the intensity, regular Threshers spawn to assist their leader, necessitating strategic crowd control. A key tactic involves leaving a single smaller Thresher alive at low health to provide a safety net for a Second Wind should the player fall. The boss also hurls molten boulders that create dangerous area-of-effect explosions, further emphasizing the need for constant movement. Given Voraxis's flesh health bar, incendiary weapons prove exceptionally effective in its defeat. Conquering Voraxis rewards players with a chance to acquire potent Legendary items, including the "Darkbeast" SMG with its spreadable incendiary effect, the explosive "Potato Thrower IV" assault rifle, and the "Buoy" grenade mod that emits shock pulses. For those seeking to optimize their gear, Voraxis can be repeatedly farmed using Moxxi's Big Encore Machine near the arena entrance.
