Borderlands 4
Description
Borderlands 4, released on September 12, 2025, marks the latest evolution in the iconic looter-shooter franchise. Developed by Gearbox Software and set six years after the chaos of the previous title, the game transports players to the ancient planet of Kairos. Here, players utilize the unique abilities of four new Vault Hunters to liberate the world from the tyrannical Timekeeper. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game offers a truly seamless open world across four distinct regions, enhanced by dynamic movement tools and deep character customization.
Among the many challenges introduced in the "Bounty Pack 2: Legend of the Stone Demon" DLC is the optional, hidden boss encounter against Bore-Tex. To find this formidable foe, players must venture into the Demon’s Domain cave system via the Terminus Range. After navigating through the Ripper camp and clearing a blocked path, a tense wait for an elevator—punctuated by waves of enemy attacks—leads to the final arena.
The fight against Bore-Tex is a test of precision and elemental strategy. As an Ordonite-corrupted Ripper, he begins the battle with hardened crystals protruding from his body that render him immune to damage. Players must utilize high-splash-damage weaponry to shatter these defenses before switching to fire-elemental gear to deplete his exposed health bar. The arena becomes increasingly chaotic as Bore-Tex employs ground-slam attacks and leaping strikes that generate fire tornadoes, forcing players to remain constantly mobile.
Victory is handsomely rewarded with two highly coveted legendary weapons: the "Roulette" pistol, which gains randomized buffs upon reloading, and the "Doe Shot" Jakobs shotgun, which unloads its entire magazine in a single, room-clearing blast. Thanks to the game’s revamped boss-farming mechanics, players no longer need to save and quit to reset the encounter. By interacting with an in-game Purple Orb and using Moxxi’s Encore Machine, Vault Hunters can jump straight back into the action. This streamlined loop turns the hunt for Bore-Tex’s legendary loot into one of the most engaging and efficient endgame activities in the Borderlands 4 experience.
