Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a rollicking good time, a first-person shooter blended with role-playing game magic, all orchestrated by the wonderfully chaotic Tiny Tina. The game builds on the beloved Borderlands formula, but drapes it in spells, swords, and an epic quest to stop the villainous Dragon Lord. Chapter 6, "Ballad of Bones," really leans into the pirate fantasy. The adventure kicks off with a rather unusual nautical journey, but instead of water, you're traversing the exposed seabed. Naturally, things aren't that simple, and poisonous seaweed blocks the path. You’ll need to help an alchemist, Wimarc, concoct a solution – involving some rather… unique ingredients – to clear the way. This leads you to the Wargtooth Shallows, a place teeming with spectral buccaneers. Here you meet the charismatic skeleton pirate, Bones Three-Wood. To get past the imposing Nerpern Gate, you need his help, which means diving headfirst into a pirate-themed quest. First up, you're tasked with finding the scattered parts of Bones' trusty companion, Polly, a unique "birdmunculus." This involves battling some rather tough enemies, like a Badass Bone Crab, and a colossal creature called Mobley Dick for the final component. With Polly rebuilt, the mission shifts to reuniting Bones with his old crew, who, along with Chartreuse LeChance's crew, are suffering from a curious "plot armor" curse that makes them unkillable. You'll have to engage in witty insult duels and even pop balloons on an airship to convince them to rejoin their old captain. The chapter culminates in raising Bones' ship, the Marley Maiden, by gathering its lost parts and then confronting Chartreuse LeChance himself. The big reveal? Bones and LeChance are actually in love, and the "curse" was a misunderstanding. They make up, Bones gives you the key you need, and you can finally continue your journey, armed with the knowledge that even skeletal pirates have a heart.
