Level 3-22 in this section is a multi-stage puzzle requiring careful observation and interaction. The level starts with Bob on a wooden platform, and the objective is to guide him to an exit pipe on the right. The main challenges involve retractable bridges and platforms controlled by buttons and levers. Initially, Bob needs to be stopped by clicking on him. A visible red button, when pressed, extends a bridge. The first hidden star is tucked away in the foliage on the top left. Once Bob is allowed to move, pressing the red button at the right moment allows him to cross the first gap before the bridge retracts. After crossing, Bob stops again. The next part of the puzzle involves manipulating platforms with a lever. The second hidden star is cleverly hidden behind a stone block on the right side of the screen. The lever has two positions, and toggling it changes the arrangement of platforms. Players must first position the lever to guide Bob to a lower platform and then flip it again to create the path for him to continue rightwards. The final challenge features a spring-loaded platform. The third hidden star is revealed by repeatedly clicking on a clam at the bottom of the screen, which opens to show it. To finish the level, the player must activate the spring mechanism at the opportune moment to launch Bob onto the final platform where the exit pipe awaits, successfully completing Level 3-22 of the Island Story.
