"Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel" is a fun first-person shooter that tells the story of how Handsome Jack went from a somewhat okay guy to the villain everyone loves to hate, all happening on Pandora's moon, Elpis, and the Hyperion space station. The game keeps that classic Borderlands look and humor, but adds cool new things like low gravity, which makes jumping super high and fighting way more interesting. You also have to keep an eye on your oxygen thanks to Oz kits. There are also new weapon types, like cryo to freeze enemies and lasers for some futuristic fun. You get to pick from four new characters, each with their own special skills, and play with up to three friends for some awesome co-op action. In this game, there's this side mission called "The Voyage of Captain Chef" that's just pure gold. You meet Captain Chef, a British explorer who's out to claim Elpis for his king. The funny thing is, he's totally clueless about all the dangerous stuff on the moon. Your job is to help him plant a flag. It sounds simple, but as soon as the flag starts going up, a whole bunch of Scavs attack. You have to protect Captain Chef while he stands at attention, which is pretty hilarious because he’s oblivious to the danger, thinking they’re just “jolly spirited.” You even have to prop up his arm with a broom because it gets tired from saluting. Once you defeat the Scavs and the flag is up, he casually says goodbye, leaving you to deal with the mess. It’s a funny jab at colonialism and a really memorable, silly moment in the game.
