Among the many adventures awaiting players on Kairos is a side mission titled "Sum of His Parts," a quest deeply rooted in the chaotic charm of the Borderlands universe, centering around our favorite rusty robot, Claptrap. This mission, accessible in the Idolator's Noose region after completing "No Place Like Home," begins with the rather grim discovery of Claptrap's dismembered lens in a dumpster. It quickly becomes apparent that rippers have taken apart our metallic friend, and it falls upon the player to embark on a scavenger hunt to locate and reassemble his scattered body parts. This is the second of five Claptrap-centric missions, each offering its own brand of mayhem and reward. The quest involves locating his chassis, a TV antenna repurposed by scrappers for his signal, and even his arms and wheel, scattered across the local area. After retrieving these vital components, players will need to aid Claptrap in his reassembly, including a humorous "diagnostic high five" to test his newly reattached limbs. The mission culminates in Claptrap leading players to his "secret junk stash" and a final confrontation with Lootin' Luke and his gang. Upon completion, players are rewarded with experience, cash, Eridium, and a rare shield, along with a unique cosmetic paint job for their ECHO device, fittingly named "Bargain Hunter."
