Lao, so you wanna know about Whack-A-Thresher in Borderlands 4, eh? Well, listen up. Borderlands 4 dropped September 12, 2025, and Gearbox really outdid themselves this time. It’s a massive game, all seamless and open on this new planet called Kairos, which is pretty wild. You got new Vault Hunters like Rafa the Exo-Soldier and Vex the Siren, plus the old gang’s around too, thankfully. The story’s about taking down some tyrant called the Timekeeper, standard Borderlands stuff but with a new twist. Now, this Whack-A-Thresher mission, man, it’s a good one. It’s in the Fadefields, in a place called The Howl. You gotta finish a mission called "Breeding Daisies" first. After that, you find this fella Mort, who’s a bit, uh, peculiar about his Threshers. Instead of shooting ‘em, which is what we usually do, Mort wants you to *discipline* them. Yeah, you heard me. You gotta jump and slam the ground when these blue holes pop up, where the Threshers are supposed to come out. You gotta do this seven times. It’s not about killing 'em, but about showing them who’s boss with a good ol’ ground slam. There are grapple points to help you get the height you need, which is a nice touch. When you’re done, Mort’s happy, the Threshers go back to work, and you get some good loot and experience. It’s a fun, different kind of challenge, a nice break from all the shooting, you know?
