The core looter-shooter loop remains, amplified by an even larger arsenal of outlandish weapons and deep character customization through extensive skill trees. Cooperative play is as strong as ever, supporting up to four players online, with split-screen available for two on consoles, and crossplay at launch ensuring players can team up regardless of platform. Among the many intriguing side quests on Kairos, the mission "To the Limb It" stands out for its unique premise and memorable characters. Found in the Dissected Plateau region of The Fadefields, this quest is a direct follow-up to "Gone Are My Leggies." The quest giver, a peculiar NPC named Leggies, who is quite literally a sentient set of legs, implores the Vault Hunter to help their missing other half, Topper. Players are directed to a farm in the northeastern Fadefields where Topper is found trapped inside a barn, under siege. The ensuing rescue mission involves confronting and defeating a wave of hostile creatures, including Calfhorns and a formidable Trumpethorn, both notably susceptible to fire damage. Upon successfully neutralizing the threat and reuniting Topper and Leggies, the mission concludes, rewarding players with experience and currency. This delightful side quest not only adds a touch of quirky humor to the Borderlands universe but also serves as a gateway, unlocking a subsequent adventure titled "To the Limb It: Redux," promising further escapades with this unforgettable duo.
