The mission begins with a search for a power source to unlock a vital hatch. Once inside the pipes, the player faces a dynamic challenge, navigating the exterior of the system while Joe and Sue venture within. This requires expert use of mobility skills, including gliding and grappling, to traverse a hazardous environment of platforms and walls. A critical objective involves cooling the pipes by targeting five weak spots as Joe succumbs to the heat. After successfully managing the pipe temperature, the player continues to guide the couple to an emergency hatch, requiring the activation of a hidden button. The mission culminates with the Vault Hunter gliding to a building at the pit's end, where Joe, Sue, and Vito await behind a gate, marking the conclusion of this stage of their escape and immediately triggering the next quest in the "Price of Freedom" series.
