Plants vs. Zombies 2 is a game about defending your home from waves of zombies using an assortment of weaponized plants. You collect sun to power these plants and strategically place them on your lawn to create an impenetrable defense. Day 17 in the Ancient Egypt world presents a unique challenge that tests your ability to be efficient. You're limited to only 14 plants, which means every choice matters a lot. This level really pushes you to think carefully about what plants you bring and where you put them. The main tricky part of this level is the Explorer Zombie. These guys carry torches that can instantly destroy most of your plants. To deal with them, the Iceberg Lettuce is your best friend. It’s free, and it freezes zombies, putting out the Explorer’s torch and making them much less dangerous. You also need good attackers, and the Cabbage-pult is a great choice here. Its lobbed shots can hit zombies even if there are tombstones in the way, which is common in Ancient Egypt. You’ll need to balance your sun production, likely with a Sunflower or two, with your offense and defense. Because you can only have 14 plants, you can’t just fill the lawn with everything. You might use a Wall-nut or Tall-nut to block tougher zombies for a bit, but you don't want to waste too many slots on pure defense. The key is to make your offensive plants do as much work as possible. As the waves get tougher, you’ll face more Explorer Zombies and strong mummies. This is where Plant Food becomes crucial. Saving a few of these power-ups for the final, biggest wave is vital. Giving Plant Food to a Cabbage-pult will unleash a powerful attack that can clear out a lot of zombies at once. Day 17 is a clever level that forces you to use your resources wisely and makes you appreciate the importance of every single plant you deploy.
