The initial encounter with Chums at Difficulty 1 features him with a flesh health bar, making fire elemental weapons highly effective. His attacks include charges, bites, and water waves, supported by smaller seawarg minions. Defeating him at this level offers the chance to acquire the Legendary ring "Lethal Catch" and unlocks higher difficulties, encouraging repeated runs for increasingly rewarding loot and tougher challenges.
