A key mechanic involves Tyreen collapsing after taking damage; the player must quickly climb onto her back to target her head's eye and break her temporary immunity. Smaller enemies in the arena provide opportunities for a "Second Wind" if downed. Upon defeating Tyreen, the player collects the Vault Key she drops to access the Vault of the Destroyer within the arena. Inside, they loot chests and acquire the crucial Eridian Ascensionator artifact. The mission concludes back on Sanctuary III, where the player speaks with allies, hands over the Vault Key to Tannis, and places the Ascensionator on a pedestal in Lilith's room.
