Players must place the remaining Vault Keys from Pandora, Promethea, and Eden-6 onto their respective pedestals throughout the complex. Allies like Lilith and Ava provide assistance along the perilous path. The mission culminates in a desperate defensive stand. After placing all the keys, the Vault Hunter joins Tannis as she attempts to activate The Machine. Tyreen Calypso intervenes, initiating a fierce battle where the player, supported by Typhon and Lilith, must protect Tannis from waves of enemies. Despite their combined efforts, Tyreen disrupts the activation. In a poignant moment, Typhon DeLeon sacrifices himself to save the others from Tyreen's attack.
