This reunion is abruptly interrupted by the appearance of Aurelia Hammerlock, Sir Hammerlock's sister and a formidable foe who has sided with the Calypso Twins. Demonstrating her cruel nature, Aurelia immediately freezes both Wainwright and Hammerlock before turning her attention to the Vault Hunter, initiating the boss battle. The confrontation with Aurelia is a challenging fight primarily revolving around her powerful Cryo attacks. She unleashes tracking icicles, summons damaging ice tornadoes, creates ice spikes, and can cause large areas of snowfall. Players must remain mobile to avoid these hazards and focus their fire on her head, her primary weak spot. Aurelia possesses both a shield and health bar and is resistant to Cryo damage but vulnerable to Incendiary, Shock, and Corrosive weapons. A key mechanic to manage is her ability to encase herself in ice to regenerate her shield; players must quickly destroy this ice formation to prevent her recovery and continue dealing damage. She may also ascend onto an ice pedestal, which can be shot to knock her down and create a window for attack. While she does summon low-threat enemies, their primary use is for Second Winds if the player goes down. Upon defeating Aurelia, she drops loot, including the unique "The Ice Queen" sniper rifle. With Aurelia vanquished, Wainwright and Hammerlock are freed from their icy prisons. The mission then continues with the player solving statue riddles on the estate grounds to uncover the entrance to the Vault, ultimately leading to a confrontation with the Graveward Vault Monster and the retrieval of a powerful Eridian artifact.
