The mission takes players into the heart of Cursehaven, a place steeped in despair and inhabited by the "cursed," those who have lost everything. Navigating to the Procurer's house, players encounter hostility from the Bonded cultists. While optional, defeating these enemies is typical Borderlands gameplay. The primary objective is to force the Procurer out by manipulating gas lines – a classic Borderlands puzzle element requiring players to turn valves, one amidst flames and another by climbing and jumping. Successfully rerouting the gas and activating a switch exposes the Procurer, leading to a boss fight. Upon defeating the Procurer, the prized barrel of wine is recovered. The mission concludes with the player returning the wine to The Lodge’s cellar, fulfilling Mancubus’ request.
