(Part 2) continues the pattern, this time sending players to The Cankerwood in search of the Ulum-Lai Mushroom, another item Eista believes will boost his abilities for their next encounter. The collection process is again followed by a duel with Eista and subsequent access to further armory rewards, solidifying the strange bond formed between the player and this peculiar character. The final quest, We Slass! (Part 3), presents a more challenging collection task: twelve Kormathi-Kusai eggs, found in Heart's Desire. Upon delivering the eggs, players witness Eista consume them, transforming him into an even more formidable opponent for the final showdown. Defeating him one last time, and reviving him as per the established ritual, grants players a unique weapon: the Sacrificial Lamb shotgun. This Tediore-manufactured weapon features a unique healing effect based on discarded weapons and its flavor text, "Kali Ma Shakti de!", adds an interesting cultural touch. The We Slass! mission series is a prime example of Borderlands' signature humor and engaging side content. It provides a memorable character interaction, challenges players with collection and combat, and ultimately rewards them with unique gear, making it a worthwhile detour in the chaotic world of Xylourgos.
