Finding Dean triggers the appearance of the Anointed Alpha, the mission's boss. This armored enemy presents a significant challenge with its barrier summoning and laser attacks. Defeating the Anointed Alpha allows the player to interact with a console, freeing Dean and completing the mission. The rewards for completing "Malevolent Practice" include experience points, cash, and the unique Jakobs pistol, the Dead Chamber.
