In "The Rescue," V and their companion, Jackie Welles, are tasked by fixer Wakako Okada to locate and save a woman named Sandra Dorsett, whose biomonitor has gone dark, indicating her abduction by scavengers. The mission unfolds with V and Jackie infiltrating a scavenger den located in a rundown apartment block. Players must employ stealth to navigate the area, taking down enemies either silently or through direct combat. The tension escalates as they confront multiple scavengers, culminating in a showdown with the Scav Leader, who is heavily armed. After successfully clearing the area, V discovers Sandra in a bathtub, frozen and in critical condition. Utilizing an AirHypo, V revives her and calls for assistance from Trauma Team, who arrive to extract Sandra. As the mission concludes, V and Jackie face an ambush from scavengers while leaving, showcasing the dangers of Night City. After dealing with the attackers, they return to V's apartment, marking the end of the quest.
