Everything in this game is made out of yarn and fabric, and it's just too cute for words. The trees in Whispy's Forest are made out of knitted leaves and the ground is a soft, plush carpet. Even the enemies are adorable little creatures made out of buttons and thread. It's like playing inside a craft store, but without the risk of getting kicked out for playing with the merchandise. But let's get back to Whispy's Forest. As you make your way through the level, you'll encounter all sorts of obstacles and puzzles that will have you using your yarn powers in creative ways. You can unravel enemies, swing from yarn ropes, and even transform into a yarn tank. Yes, a yarn tank. How awesome is that? But the real star of this level is Whispy himself. This giant, talking tree is the boss of the level and boy, does he have some attitude. He starts off by taunting you and saying things like "You think you can defeat me? Ha! I may be made of yarn, but I am still a powerful tree!" And then he proceeds to attack you by spitting out apples and blowing strong gusts of wind. But don't worry, Kirby can handle it. The best part is when you start to unravel Whispy's yarn, revealing his wooden core. He starts to panic and frantically tries to cover himself up, but it's too late. He's been exposed as a big, fluffy yarn tree. And the look on his face is just priceless. It's like he's saying "Well, this is embarrassing. Can we just forget this ever happened?" Sorry Whispy, but it's too late for that. But don't worry, the battle doesn't end there. After being defeated, Whispy turns into a giant yarn ball and starts rolling around the screen. It's like playing a game of yarn bowling, except you're the ball. And let me tell you, trying to avoid getting knocked off the screen by a giant yarn ball is not as easy as it sounds. Overall, Kirby's Epic Yarn is a fun and charming game that will have you hooked from the very first level. But Whispy's Forest is definitely a standout level that will leave you in stitches (pun intended).
