Ancient Egypt - Day 11 | Plants vs Zombies 2 | Walkthrough, Gameplay, No Commentary
Plants vs. Zombies 2
Description
*Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time* builds upon the beloved tower defense gameplay of its predecessor, tasking players with strategically deploying a vibrant cast of plant defenders to thwart waves of comical zombies. The core loop involves collecting sun, the game's primary resource, to plant various flora with unique abilities. When zombies breach defenses, lawnmowers offer a last resort. The sequel introduces "Plant Food," a temporary power-up that significantly enhances a plant's abilities, and a time-traveling narrative where players journey through different historical eras with Crazy Dave and his sentient van, Penny, each era presenting distinct environmental challenges, specialized zombies, and new plant introductions.
Ancient Egypt - Day 11 in *Plants vs. Zombies 2* introduces a unique challenge aptly named "Locked and Loaded." Unlike most levels where players select their own plant arsenal, this stage provides a predetermined set of defenses. This forces players to adapt and strategize with what they are given, offering a fresh perspective on the game's mechanics. The narrative framing explains this constraint as a necessity to avoid temporal paradoxes, emphasizing the importance of utilizing the provided plants to maintain the fabric of reality. A particularly notable inclusion in this level's loadout is the Twin Sunflower, a plant that grants significantly boosted sun production, offering players a considerable advantage early on. Accompanying it are the reliable Peashooter, the sturdy Wall-nut, the explosive Potato Mine, and the multi-target capable Bloomerang.
The zombies encountered on this day are classic Ancient Egyptian adversaries: the standard Mummy Zombie, the slightly more resilient Conehead Mummy, and the formidable Buckethead Mummy. The level also features a few tombstones that can initially impede planting and spawn zombies, though their placement is generally not an overwhelming threat. A highly effective strategy revolves around maximizing sun production by placing Sunflowers in the back rows. As the initial zombies advance, a well-timed Potato Mine can efficiently neutralize them, creating valuable breathing room. Once a steady sun income is established, the Twin Sunflowers should be prioritized to accelerate resource generation. The Bloomerang proves to be the star offensive plant, its ability to strike multiple zombies in a lane making it ideal for managing crowds and clearing tombstones. A robust defense can be built with one or two columns of Bloomerangs, supported by Wall-nuts acting as a crucial defensive barrier. For the tougher Buckethead Mummies, the Potato Mine remains an excellent, instant-kill solution. While Peashooters are present, their effectiveness pales in comparison to the Bloomerang's crowd control, making them a lower priority. By skillfully managing sun, leveraging the potent synergy of Bloomerangs and Potato Mines, and establishing a solid Wall-nut wall, players can successfully conquer the strategic puzzle presented by Ancient Egypt - Day 11.
