Dan The Man, developed by Halfbrick Studios, is a beloved platformer that combines retro-style pixel art with engaging action and humor. Players control Dan, a reluctant hero fighting to save his village from a malevolent organization. With fluid combat mechanics, upgradeable weapons, and varied levels filled with enemies and secrets, the game offers both nostalgia and fresh gameplay. Beyond the main story mode, it features survival challenges, daily events, and previously, a Weekly Mode that provided unique content and rewards. Knight Week was part of this Weekly Mode, a now-discontinued feature replaced by Adventure Mode in version 1.2.3. Weekly Mode presented players with six randomly selected levels each week—five from various Adventure Mode adventures (excluding Lincoln’s) and a final, themed stage. Knight Week followed this format, culminating in a knight-themed final level. Completing the six levels awarded players a special knight costume for their Custom Character, adding a visually distinctive and thematic reward that enhanced customization options. If the player already owned the costume, they instead received 3,000 gold coins, maintaining motivation to complete the challenges repeatedly. The presentation of Knight Week was immersive: a banner at the screen’s top displayed the week’s costume name, and the Custom Character appeared dressed accordingly beside a large chest symbolizing the reward. Upon finishing all levels, the character would lie defeated on the floor as the chest opened, signifying completion—a subtle and charming animation reflecting the challenge’s end. Lincoln, an exception, would laugh triumphantly instead. Though Weekly Mode and Knight Week are no longer part of Dan The Man, the costumes earned remain accessible in Adventure Mode, preserving the legacy of these weekly challenges.
