I recently played the highly anticipated indie horror game, Poppy Playtime - Chapter 1, and was extremely disappointed with the character But Huggy Wuggy is Wormy - Caterworm. This particular character, while initially intriguing, ended up being a major letdown in terms of gameplay and overall experience. First and foremost, the design of But Huggy Wuggy is Wormy is quite unimaginative. As the name suggests, it is simply a caterpillar with a hugging gesture and a creepy face. Compared to the other monsters in the game, But Huggy Wuggy is Wormy falls flat in terms of creativity and fear factor. It feels like the developers took the easy way out by using a common insect and adding a few creepy features. Furthermore, the gameplay involving But Huggy Wuggy is Wormy is extremely repetitive and unoriginal. The main objective is to avoid its hugs and find a way to escape its grasp.
