Hogwarts Legacy immerses players in the 1800s wizarding world as a new student at Hogwarts. After arriving at the castle and settling in, one of the first tasks is attending Charms Class. Located in the Astronomy Wing, the Charms Classroom is where students learn the basics of spellcasting under Professor Ronen. The initial Charms Class focuses on mastering the Accio spell, the Summoning Charm. Players learn the spell through a mini-game where they trace the on-screen prompt to successfully cast Accio. Professor Ronen introduces Summoner's Court, a game to practice the spell, which involves summoning balls towards the player. The main character faces off against fellow student Natsai "Natty" Onai in two rounds of Summoner's Court, with increasing difficulty. Winning or losing doesn't drastically alter the outcome, though dialogue changes slightly. Regardless of the result, Professor Ronen requests a word after class, setting up future interactions and assignments. The successful completion of Charms Class rewards players with the Accio spell, which is used to solve puzzles and collect items throughout the game. After the class, Samantha Dale is waiting outside to introduce herself.
