This initial exploration allows you to familiarize yourself with key merchants and gather essential items. However, the idyllic visit is shattered by a troll attack. You must defend the village, utilizing the Reparo spell to mend damaged structures. This segment introduces combat mechanics and the importance of spellcasting in a crisis. A brief encounter at Gladrags Wizardwear, where you receive new robes, leads into a suspenseful scene at the Three Broomsticks. Here, you overhear a clandestine conversation between Rookwood and Ranrok, foreshadowing future conflicts. The quest concludes with a butterbeer and a sense of foreboding, setting the stage for further adventures. You also learn some new abilities in the process.
