Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive open-world action RPG set in the 1800s wizarding world. As a fifth-year student with a unique ability to perceive and manipulate ancient magic, you embark on a journey to uncover a hidden truth. "Jackdaw's Rest" is a pivotal main quest triggered after completing one of the house-specific quests. It begins with meeting the ghost of Richard Jackdaw at the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Jackdaw guides you through the forest to a hidden cave, his final resting place. You must speak the password and defeat Ranrok's loyalists guarding the entrance. Inside the cave, you navigate through spider-infested passages and solve magic puzzles to reach Jackdaw's tomb. There, you find his remains and recover the missing pages he mentioned. However, the ancient magic within the chamber awakens Pensieve Sentries, Sentinels, and Protectors that you must defeat. Following traces of ancient magic, you discover a hidden Map Chamber and encounter a portrait of Percival Rackham. Speaking with Rackham unlocks the Talents system, allowing you to enhance your abilities. Finally, you exit the Map Chamber and return to Hogwarts with the missing pages and newfound knowledge, ready for your Flying Class.
