Hogwarts Legacy immerses players in the 1800s wizarding world, allowing them to explore Hogwarts and its surrounding areas. A captivating feature is the Room of Requirement, a customizable space that players can design to their liking. The "Interior Decorating" side quest, available at level 5 and initiated by speaking with Professor Weasley, unlocks the full potential of this feature. The quest serves as a tutorial, teaching the player essential customization spells: Conjuration and Altering. First, the player learns to conjure items for decorating the Room by using Moonstone, a resource found in the surrounding countryside. Players are tasked with conjuring wall and floor decorations, choosing from various styles like scientific, botanical, eclectic and gothic, each requiring Moonstone to create. Later, the Altering spell enables manipulation of these conjured items, allowing for changes in size, color, and style, as well as adjustments to the room's architecture like the floor and balcony. Finally, the house-elf Deek allows the player to alter the room's ambiance, choosing from themes like moonlit, natural, or mysterious. Completing the quest not only provides the Altering spell and Conjuration Spellcraft but also a Gold Herbology Trophy, truly making the Room of Requirement a unique reflection of the player's personality.
