Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most highly anticipated video games of the year and it’s easy to see why after playing the first scene, “Welcome to Hogsmeade”. As a huge Harry Potter fan, I was ecstatic to finally step into the wizarding world and explore the iconic village of Hogsmeade. The scene begins with the player arriving at Hogsmeade train station, greeted by the familiar sight of the Hogwarts Express. The attention to detail in the scenery is remarkable, from the snowy rooftops to the cobblestone streets, it truly feels like you’ve been transported into the world of Harry Potter. As you make your way through the village, you can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia and excitement. The shops and establishments are all there, from Honeydukes to Zonko’s Joke Shop. The NPCs (non-playable characters) are also a great addition, with some familiar faces such as Hagrid and Madam Rosmerta. The graphics in this scene are stunning, making the experience even more immersive. The snowy landscape and the characters’ movements are incredibly realistic, adding to the overall magical atmosphere of the game. The sound design is also top-notch, with the iconic Harry Potter theme playing in the background as you explore Hogsmeade. One of the highlights of this scene is the ability to interact with the environment and objects. You can enter shops, browse through items, and even purchase them using wizarding currency. The attention to detail in these interactions is impressive and adds to the overall gameplay experience. Overall, “Welcome to Hogsmeade” is a fantastic introduction to the world of Hogwarts Legacy.
