Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive open-world action RPG set in the wizarding world of the 1800s. As a fifth-year student at Hogwarts, players learn to cast spells, brew potions, tame magical creatures, and explore the vast landscapes beyond the castle. One of the early assignments players receive is from Professor Garlick, the Herbology professor. In Professor Garlick's Assignment 1, the player is tasked with field-testing two magical plants: a Venomous Tentacula and a Mandrake. Professor Garlick wants the player to acquire these plants, which can be purchased in Hogsmeade at Dogweed and Deathcap, and use them in combat. The Venomous Tentacula acts as an offensive plant, attacking enemies, while the Mandrake, when used, emits a scream that stuns multiple opponents simultaneously. Once the player has successfully used both plants, they must return to Professor Garlick in the Herbology classroom. Completing this assignment rewards the player with the Wingardium Leviosa spell, a core spell used for levitating and manipulating objects throughout the game world.
