Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, open-world action RPG set in the wizarding world of the 1800s. Players can explore familiar locations like Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and Hogsmeade, attend classes, learn spells, brew potions, and tame magical beasts. Amidst the main storyline, numerous side quests offer unique adventures. One such quest, "A Thief in the Night," begins with Pádraic Haggarty, a merchant in the hamlet of Irondale. Haggarty is distraught over recent thefts, suspecting his sister, Catrin, who has aligned herself with the dark wizard Victor Rookwood. Eager to help, the player agrees to investigate. The investigation begins by following a trail of dropped gold coins leading away from Haggarty's shop. The trail leads outside of Irondale towards a Niffler den. Above the den, the missing family heirloom is found. A Niffler is the thief, not Catrin! It is necessary to capture the thieving Niffler, aptly named "The Irondale Pilferer". Once captured using Levioso and the Nab-Sack, the player returns to Pádraic. He is grateful to learn his sister is not the culprit and rewards the player with gold and a Niffler Mask, relieved that it was not his sister after all.
