IN THE SHADOW OF THE ESTATE (Scene 2), Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy is an upcoming action role-playing video game set in the wizarding world of Harry Potter. As a huge fan of both the books and movies, I was eagerly anticipating the release of this game. However, after playing Scene 2, "In the Shadow of the Estate," I was left disappointed and underwhelmed. The scene starts with the player character, a new student at Hogwarts, exploring the estate of a wealthy wizarding family. The graphics and design of the estate are stunning, with intricate details that truly make you feel like you are in the wizarding world. However, the gameplay itself felt lackluster and repetitive. The main objective of the scene is to find and collect hidden objects within the estate. This task quickly becomes tedious as you wander through the same rooms, clicking on random objects in hopes of finding the ones you need. There is no real challenge or sense of accomplishment in completing this task. Moreover, the lack of interaction with other characters was a major disappointment. In a game set in the magical world of Hogwarts, I expected to have more meaningful interactions with other students or professors. Instead, the only character you come across is a snobby house-elf who gives you a task to complete. One positive aspect of the scene was the use of spells. The player is able to use a variety of spells to interact with objects and solve puzzles. However, the controls for casting spells felt clunky and unresponsive, making it frustrating to use them. Overall, "In the Shadow of the Estate" felt like a missed opportunity for the game. The beautiful graphics and attention to detail were overshadowed by monotonous gameplay and lack of meaningful interactions. As a fan of the Harry Potter franchise, I had high expectations for Hogwarts Legacy, but this scene left me feeling disappointed and unimpressed. I hope that the rest of the game will offer more engaging and dynamic gameplay experiences.
