World of Goo 2 is a physics-based puzzle game where players build structures using different Goo Balls to guide a specific number to an exit pipe. "Dish Connected" is the final level of Chapter 2, set on a flying island that is the broken remains of the Beauty Generator from the first game, repurposed as a satellite. The narrative of the chapter focuses on the island's inhabitants losing Wi-Fi, revealed to be caused by the World of Goo Organization using the satellite for advertisements. In "Dish Connected," players help the Goo Balls reach the satellite dishes, utilizing new Goo types like Grow Goo to build structures. Activating the dishes restores Wi-Fi and allows the organization to broadcast ads globally, celebrated by the islanders and the Distant Observer on Earth.
