Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG set in Belle Époque France, where players lead Expedition 33 to stop the Paintress, a mysterious entity that erases people annually. Combat blends turn-based mechanics with real-time dodges and free-aiming. Within the Flying Waters, players encounter the Démineur, a flying Nevron cloaked in dark fabric, carrying a floating mine. Targeting this mine with Free Aim is crucial, causing it to explode and damage the Démineur and nearby foes. Démineurs are weak to Lightning. They can perform a strong thunder skill and a standard mine attack. An optional, passive white Démineur exists, missing its mine. Players can return the mine, earning a weapon for Lune, or fight it for materials. A more powerful, optional boss, the Chromatic Démineur, appears with a fiery mine inflicting Burn. Weak to Ice, its mine is a key weak spot, potentially leading to an instant kill or significant damage. It intensifies fire damage as the fight progresses. Defeating it yields powerful rewards.
