Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG set in a Belle Époque-inspired world, where a yearly "Gommage" erases people of a specific age. Players lead Expedition 33 to destroy the Paintress and end this cycle before the dreaded number 33 is reached. After recruiting Monoco at Monoco's Station, the camp transforms into a vital hub. The mysterious Curator, now residing there, is crucial for integrating Monoco, whose unique skill acquisition involves defeating specific "Nevron" enemies. Players utilize "Colour of Lumina" at the Curator’s station to boost Monoco's Lumina Points, allowing more passive skills and closing the level gap. The Curator also upgrades equipment using Chroma Catalysts and improves tints with "Shape" items. Beyond mechanics, camp fosters narrative depth: one-on-one conversations deepen relationships, unlocking powerful Gradient Attacks, and campfire cutscenes reveal party dynamics, making the camp a sanctuary for both preparation and personal connection.
