Their carefree approach to danger stems from a belief in reincarnation; upon death, they are reborn as a "patate" at the Sacred River, experiencing disorientation and partial memory loss. The Gestral Beaches offer a diverse range of challenges designed to test an Expeditioner's skills. The first accessible beach, appearing after the Flying Waters, features a challenging parkour course of logs and spinning platforms, rewarding players with a swimsuit for Gustave upon completion. A subsequent, humorous math question from a Gestral, whose inability to count makes the answer irrelevant, yields a swimsuit for Lune. Further into the expedition, a Gestral Beach accessible after Stone Wave Cliffs hosts a lively raft volleyball mini-game, where players defend their raft by deflecting projectiles. Different opponents offer varying difficulties, with successful play earning swimsuits for Lune and Sciel.
