Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG where players lead Expedition 33 to stop the Paintress from erasing humanity. Joy Vale is a vibrant sub-area within the Visages region, accessible via red-leafed paths and a statue's mouth. This lush, green zone offers a "happier" ambiance, contrasting with the game's grim premise. Players can save progress at its Expedition Flag. Notable encounters include the Contorsionniste and the boss Jovial Moissonneuse, who drops the Chapelim weapon. Joy Vale also hides valuable collectibles like Healing Tint Shards and the powerful "Confident Fighter" Pictos, which boosts health and critical rate but prevents healing when its Lumina ability is active.
