Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 plunges players into a Belle Époque-inspired world threatened by the Paintress, who annually erases people by painting a number on a monolith. As Expedition 33, players are the last hope to stop this cycle. The boss fight against Renoir, the Curator, at the Monolith is a climactic and deeply personal challenge. This is not his first encounter, but here, he must be truly defeated. Renoir, the father of two party members, is a formidable foe. The battle demands flawless execution, with no elemental advantages, and a single defeat of the primary party means game over. Phase one tests players with precise sword combos and projectile barrages, requiring mastery of parrying and dodging. Upon reaching half health, Renoir is infused with dark power, healing him and granting him double turns. He gains terrifying new attacks from a summoned creature, pushing players' defensive skills to the absolute limit in a true test of endurance before they can face the Paintress.
