For a more tactical approach, positioning oneself atop one of the large metal cargo containers within the arena can be highly advantageous. This elevated perch forces Sludgemaw to primarily rely on ranged attacks, creating more consistent windows for players to inflict damage and target its critical hit spots. Sticky grenades also prove highly effective, their tracking capabilities allowing them to adhere to the boss even when it's hidden beneath the earth. Upon its defeat, Sludgemaw offers a chance to reward players with unique legendary gear, including the Birt's Bees SMG, the Kickballer shotgun, and the Onion shield, ensuring that the struggle to overcome this monstrous thresher is well worth the effort.
