Frostbite Caves - Day 23 | Plants vs Zombies 2 | Walkthrough, Gameplay, No Commentary
Plants vs. Zombies 2
Description
Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time builds upon the beloved tower defense gameplay of its predecessor, where players strategically deploy a variety of botanical defenders to fend off waves of the undead. The sequel introduces time-traveling adventures across different historical eras, each with unique environmental challenges and zombie types. Sun, the primary resource for planting, falls from the sky or is generated by sunflowers, and lawnmowers serve as a last resort. A key addition is Plant Food, which dramatically enhances a plant's abilities when fed to it.
Frostbite Caves - Day 23 is a particularly demanding level set in a frozen wasteland. This "Survive and Protect" mission throws players into a relentless onslaught of ice-themed zombies amidst an environment prone to freezing winds that can disable plants. The lawn itself is dotted with ice blocks, some offering precious frozen sun. Success hinges on a delicate balance of robust sun production, potent offensive capabilities, and the crucial inclusion of warming plants to counteract the pervasive chill.
The enemy roster in this level is a chilling collection, featuring basic Blockhead Zombies, resilient Iceblock Zombies, and the destructive Troglobites that push ice blocks forward. Hunter Zombies can freeze defenses with snowballs, while Dodo Rider Imps zip over initial lines of defense. The most dreaded threat, however, are the Weasel Hoarder zombies, whose cages unleash a torrent of fast-moving, plant-eating weasels.
A strong defense for Frostbite Caves - Day 23 requires careful plant selection. Twin Sunflowers are excellent for generating ample sun, while warming plants like the Pepper-pult are essential for thawing frozen defenses. For offense, the Snapdragon's area-of-effect fire is invaluable for both damage and thawing, and the Kernel-pult’s butter projectiles can stun advancing zombies. Strategic placement, such as Snapdragons in the middle lanes and Kernel-pults behind them for support, is key. Utilizing Plant Food on Kernel-pults can neutralize swift threats like Dodo Rider Imps. Instant-use plants like Cherry Bombs provide emergency crowd control, and the Infi-nut’s defensive force field offers vital protection. Mastering this level demands precise planning and strategic deployment to overcome the icy challenges.
