The side quest "Никудышный день" in Borderlands 2 is given by Sir Hammerlock in the Southern Shelf area after completing the "This Town Ain't Big Enough" mission. The primary objective is to collect four samples of bullymong fur. Crucially, these samples are only dropped if the bullymong is killed by a melee attack, regardless of how much damage was dealt with firearms beforehand. Bullymong locations are helpfully marked with large circles on the map. During the fur collection, Claptrap contacts the player, offering a shotgun in exchange for the fur. Shortly after, Sir Hammerlock makes a counter-offer, promising a sniper rifle if the fur is delivered to him. This presents the player with a choice: give the fur to Hammerlock or Claptrap. The choice directly impacts the reward weapon. Delivering the fur to Sir Hammerlock yields a Jacobs sniper rifle, while giving it to Claptrap results in a Torgue shotgun. Both choices also award experience points and cash, the amount scaling with difficulty level. On Normal mode (levels 5-7), the reward is 362 XP and $15. In True Vault Hunter Mode (level 35), it's 10369 XP and $475. On the highest difficulty (level 52), players receive 13840 XP and $3262. Regardless of the choice or level, the weapon offered is a green-rarity sniper rifle or shotgun. Interestingly, killing Knuckle Dragger triggers Hammerlock's dialogue, but he doesn't drop fur. However, bullymongs killed by Savage Lee's axe attacks will drop fur, as his attacks count as melee damage. Upon delivering the fur to the chosen character, the player receives their weapon, and the mission concludes with the line: "Fur delivered and you got a new gun! Good day for everybody! Except the bullymongs. But screw those guys."
