Borderlands 2 is a vibrant, cel-shaded first-person shooter with strong RPG elements, set on the chaotic alien planet Pandora. Hellquist is a badass enemy with an energy shield, armed with a submachine gun and a unique attack involving explosive energy mortars from a boombox-like device. He is often supported by robot loaders, and nearby Rakk may also join the fight. Using shock damage against his shield and corrosive damage against robots is recommended. Upon defeating Hellquist, players return to Mordecai for experience points and Eridium. Hellquist is a notable enemy as he has a chance to drop the legendary shield, "The Bee." There's also an in-game challenge, "Dead Air," for destroying his radio pack before killing him. Mordecai expresses satisfaction at stopping Hellquist's biased reports, though he humorously notes that some Vault Hunters, like the Gunzerker, might still be unsettling regardless of the propaganda.
