Человек, что Хотел быть Джеком | Borderlands 2 | Walkthrough, Gameplay, No Commentary
Borderlands 2
Description
Borderlands 2 is a frantic, loot-driven first-person shooter with RPG elements set on the chaotic planet Pandora. Developed by Gearbox Software, it's known for its distinctive cel-shaded art style, irreverent humor, and emphasis on cooperative play. Players step into the shoes of Vault Hunters on a quest to stop the charismatic but psychotic villain, Handsome Jack, and his plan to unleash an ancient evil. The core gameplay loop revolves around completing missions, defeating hordes of enemies, and collecting a staggering variety of procedurally generated weapons.
"The Man Who Would Be Jack" is a pivotal main story quest in Borderlands 2 given by Roland. Its primary goal is to find a way past a locked door blocking the path to the Guardian Angel, which only Handsome Jack can open. The mission sends the player to Opportunity to locate and deal with a Jack impersonator.
The quest involves eliminating the impersonator and collecting his pocket watch. Afterward, the player must gather four voice samples of Jack from informational kiosks scattered throughout Opportunity. Finally, these samples are used to create a voice modulator. Facing the impersonator, players are advised to use corrosive weapons against the numerous Hyperion loaders in the area and shock weapons for the impersonator's shield. The impersonator is a Badass-level enemy with a strong shield but is otherwise manageable. Upon defeat, the pocket watch is dropped. The voice samples are then collected from marked kiosks, and the data is uploaded to Angel via a terminal.
Completing this mission is crucial for advancing the main storyline. The rewards include experience points and Eridium. The acquired pocket watch is significant; it's a replica of Jack's, granting access to security systems and acting as a voice modulator. Notably, until the subsequent mission's security door is opened, player characters will speak in Jack's voice, a humorous detail and a direct consequence of this quest. The mission title and the importance of the pocket watch are a clear reference to Rudyard Kipling's "The Man Who Would Be King." This quest bridges the gap between "The Once and Future Slab" and "Where Angels Fear To Tread," setting the stage for the final push against Handsome Jack.
