This event fueled his transformation into the villain seen in Borderlands 2, where he orchestrates the destruction of settlements, tortures characters like Patricia Tannis, and uses Angel to charge the Vault Key. His cruelty is constantly on display, such as destroying the town of New Haven and executing its administrator. Following a final battle against Jack and the Warrior he summons, Jack is ultimately defeated, either by Lilith or the player.
