Borderlands 2 is a first-person shooter with strong role-playing elements, set on the chaotic planet Pandora. The mission Statuesque is an optional side quest in the city of Opportunity. It becomes available after starting "The Man Who Would Be Jack" and requires players to destroy four massive statues of Handsome Jack scattered throughout the area. Initially, shooting the statues proves futile as they are bulletproof. The mission then tasks the player with activating a deactivated constructor bot, which Claptrap affectionately renames the Hacked Overseer. This modified constructor bot, with its distinct green and yellow coloring, becomes the centerpiece of Statuesque. Players must escort and protect the Hacked Overseer as it uses its laser to cut down each of the four statues. Hyperion forces actively try to destroy the bot during this process, providing combat encounters. An optional objective is to maintain the Overseer's health above 50%, which can be done with healing abilities or grenades. Claptrap and Handsome Jack provide humorous commentary throughout, with Jack becoming increasingly agitated as his statues are destroyed. Upon destroying the final statue, the Hacked Overseer moves towards an exit. Claptrap prompts the player to activate a "dance button" on the bot, leading to a brief, comical attempt at dancing before the bot malfunctions and explodes. Completing Statuesque rewards the player with experience points and a unique blue rarity head customization specific to their character class. The mission is turned in to Claptrap and is part of the larger "Rise of the Crimson Raiders" mission chain.
